Channel Partner Associate
This page is a deeper look into how I’d approach the Channel Partner Associate role at impact.com. I’ve included the mission I’d bring into the work, the pillars that would shape how I show up every day, and an example activation that reflects my thinking. I also included a 90-day plan to show how I’d work to get up to speed and begin contributing quickly.
To build scalable, high-impact event experiences that strengthen impact.com’s tech partner channel by creating value for sponsors, generating new partnerships, and ensuring every event feels strategic and intentional.
Mission
Core Pillars
-
Be genuinely curious
I would approach every conversation eager to understand what matters to our partners—and how we can build something valuable together.
-
Prioritize mutual value
I’d evaluate partners not just for reach, but for alignment—shared audiences, relevant use cases, and long-term growth potential.
-
Intentional scale
I’d aim to document, streamline, and simplify processes so the partner program can grow efficiently—without diminishing its impact.
-
Think beyond the event
I’d connect each activation to the bigger picture: the partner lifecycle, follow-up strategy, and how we convert moments into momentum.
90-Day Game Plan
Month 1
Shadow the planning and execution of an existing VIP event
Conduct a light audit of past dinners: who attended, how they were followed up with, and what worked
Set up intro meetings with key stakeholders in partnerships, marketing, and sales to understand workflows and current gaps
Month 2
Propose a consistent structure for event execution: invite flow, sponsor tiers, and internal briefing materials
Build a partner event calendar tied to themes and pipeline needs
Draft an event debrief template to track wins, learnings, and follow-up opportunities
Month 3
Co-lead a dinner and own the post-event strategy and follow-up
Start identifying ways to scale: content series based on dinner topics, repackaging successful activations, etc.
Introduce a lightweight tracking framework to measure success and set benchmarks for future events
Activation idea
The Partnership Preview Dinner
Concept
An invite-only dinner co-hosted with a strategic sponsor, designed to spotlight existing partner success stories and attract new, high-fit partners to impact.com’s tech ecosystem. The experience would blend education, relationship-building, and subtle brand positioning in an intimate, high-impact setting.
WHY THIS EVENT?
This dinner would create space for potential partners to hear from brands already in the ecosystem and envision the value of joining it themselves. It would also give impact.com and the co-hosting sponsor exposure to a curated list of shared target accounts—creating marketing value on both sides.
